# Integrity Check

### What Is an Integrity Check?

An Integrity Check allows customers to verify key information about candidates before making hiring decisions.

Currently, Integrity Checks validate:

* Identity
* Work Authorization

Additional verification categories such as Education and Experience may become available in future releases.

Integrity Checks help customers move beyond resume claims by validating critical information through trusted verification processes.

### Why Use Integrity Checks?

Hiring decisions often depend on information that is difficult to verify through resumes alone.

Integrity Checks help you:

* Confirm candidate identity
* Validate work authorization
* Reduce fraud and misrepresentation
* Improve hiring confidence
* Avoid late-stage surprises
* Shorten manual verification efforts

Rather than waiting until the final stages of hiring, customers can introduce verification whenever it makes the most sense for their process.

### When Should You Request an Integrity Check?

One of the advantages of iParley is flexibility.

You decide when verification occurs.

Integrity Checks can be requested:

* Immediately after application
* After initial screening
* After shortlisting
* Before interviews
* Before offer stage
* Before final onboarding

There is no requirement to verify candidates before they apply.

You control the timing.

### Candidate-Paid vs Customer-Sponsored Verification

iParley supports two verification models.

#### Candidate-Paid Verification

Candidates may independently complete verification before applying for opportunities.

Benefits include:

* Verified profile visibility
* Faster review process
* Reusable credentials across multiple opportunities

When reviewing these candidates, verification results may already be available.

#### Customer-Sponsored Verification

Customers may choose to sponsor verification for selected candidates.

This is commonly used after shortlisting.

Process:

1. Candidate applies for a position
2. Customer reviews the application
3. Candidate is shortlisted
4. Customer requests an Integrity Check
5. Candidate receives notification
6. Candidate completes verification
7. Verification results become available for review

This approach allows customers to invest only in candidates who progress through the hiring process.

### Requesting an Integrity Check

You can initiate an Integrity Check directly from the candidate profile.

Steps:

1. Open the candidate application
2. Review profile and resume
3. Click **Request Integrity Check**
4. Select required verification categories
5. Confirm sponsorship options (if applicable)
6. Submit the request

The candidate receives both:

* Email notification
* In-platform notification

### Monitoring Verification Progress

Once verification begins, customers can monitor progress directly from the platform.

You can view:

* Requested verification types
* Current verification status
* Completed checks
* Pending items
* Verification completion progress

Statuses may include:

* Verification Requested
* In Progress
* Completed
* Action Required

### Reviewing Verification Results

After completion, verification results become available through the candidate's Credential Vault.

Customers can review:

* Verified identity credentials
* Verified work authorization credentials
* Verification summaries
* Supporting verification status indicators

This provides confidence that critical candidate information has been independently validated.

Integrity Checks are not limited to job applicants.

Customers can also use verification information when evaluating:
