# Verification

#### Is Verification Mandatory?

No. Verification is not mandatory to use iParley.

However, verification is strongly recommended. Many organizations prefer verified candidates because verified profiles reduce hiring risk and speed up shortlisting. Verification also helps you stand out from fake or misrepresented profiles by showing proof, not just claims.

You decide what to verify, when to verify, and what to share.

The following demo shows the onboarding journey for candidates on iParley.

## Understanding Integrity Checks

An **Integrity Check** is iParley's verification process for validating key information about a candidate before hiring decisions are made.

Currently, Integrity Checks focus on:

* Identity verification
* Work authorization verification

Additional verification categories such as Education and Experience may be added in future releases.

The goal of an Integrity Check is to help employers confirm that candidate information is authentic and supported by documentation before moving forward in the hiring process.

***

#### Why Integrity Checks Matter

Integrity Checks help:

* Build trust with employers
* Reduce hiring delays
* Confirm identity and work authorization
* Prevent fraud and profile misrepresentation
* Improve candidate visibility during shortlisting

Candidates who complete Integrity Checks often move through hiring processes more efficiently because employers can review verified information rather than relying solely on resume claims.

***

#### When Can an Integrity Check Be Requested?

Unlike traditional hiring systems, iParley allows verification at different stages of the hiring process.

An Integrity Check may be initiated:

* Before applying for jobs
* After submitting an application
* After being shortlisted
* Before interviews
* Before final hiring decisions

The timing is determined either by the candidate or the employer.

***

#### Self-Initiated Verification

Candidates may choose to complete verification proactively.

This allows you to:

* Verify your credentials before applying
* Demonstrate trust and credibility immediately
* Reuse verified information across opportunities
* Avoid delays if employers request verification later

Many candidates choose this option to strengthen their profile before engaging with employers.

***

#### Client-Sponsored Verification

Some employers prefer to sponsor verification only for candidates they are seriously considering.

In this scenario:

1. You apply for a position
2. The employer reviews your profile
3. The employer shortlists your application
4. The employer requests an Integrity Check
5. You receive an email and platform notification
6. You complete the requested verification steps

The employer may choose to pay for verification on your behalf.

This approach allows employers to verify only the candidates who advance in the hiring process.

#### Choose a Verification Category

You can verify one or more of the following categories:

* Identity
* Work Authorization
* Education (coming soon)
* Experience (coming soon)

You can verify categories gradually—there is no requirement to verify everything at once.

***

#### Select Documents for Verification

After choosing a category, iParley shows which documents are required.

* Mandatory documents must be uploaded to proceed
* Optional documents can strengthen your profile but are never required

Mandatory documents are clearly marked before upload.

#### Upload Documents

Upload clear, readable copies of your documents. Ensure the full document is visible and up to date. Uploaded documents are used only for verification and are never shared unless you approve.

***

#### Verification Payment

Some verification checks require payment. If payment is required, the cost is shown clearly before you proceed.

#### Start Verification

After completing your verification payment, the process does not begin automatically. You must manually start verification to initiate document review.

The “Start Verification” step confirms that you are ready for iParley to begin reviewing your selected documents. Until this step is completed, your verification status will remain pending.

Starting verification ensures:

* Your submitted documents are sent for review
* Your verification process officially begins
* Your status updates from “Payment Complete” to “In Progress”

You remain in control of when verification starts.

#### When Should You Click “Start Verification”?

Click **Start Verification** once:

* All required documents are selected
* Payment is successfully completed
* You are ready for review to begin

If you are not ready, you may wait. Verification will not start without your confirmation.

#### What Happens After You Start?

Once initiated:

* Your documents enter the review queue
* Your status updates to “In Progress”
* You can track progress in the Verification panel

***

#### Track Verification Progress

You can monitor verification progress directly from your dashboard.

The verification panel displays:

* Verification status
* Documents selected
* Approved credentials
* Pending items
* Verification completion progress

Viewing Verified Credentials

Once verification is complete, approved credentials become available in your iParley Credential Vault.

The vault provides a consolidated view of:

* Identity credentials
* Work authorization documents credentials
* Verification status

This allows employers to review verified information while giving you control over credential sharing.
